8/13 Feeding Support

    DS has been latching on and pulling off the breast repeatedly during his feeds. He will suck for 15 seconds and then pull off. But if I try to put him back on to see if he's hungry he will always go back on, only to pull off again right away. He does this probably 5/6 feedings per day. It is extremely frustrating. Then on his 1 good feed he will do amazing, latch on perfectly and nurse beautifully for 6 or 7 minutes on each breast. I really don't know what to do!!

    Mine does this too but he snacks a lot so I'm not even sure if he's hungry half the time. Other times that he does it, he also has gas or has a gigantic poop after so maybe he's just uncomfortable and trying to work some stuff out? :)

    I've also heard that sometimes babies can get distracted around this age because they want to look around. My LC suggested going to a dark room or putting a blanket over him so he could focus, lol.
