Awful dreams of loss although everything is fine?

I had a horrible dream last night that I went to the toilet and lots of blood was present in the toilet.. It was so real I woke and thought it had actually happened! I have my 12 wk scan Monday.. Naturally am now petrified!!!
Has anyone else had dreams like this? I've had some odd dreams but none that awful so far (am 12 weeks tomorrow and due 27 Feb 2016) xx

    This is my third pregnancy and I am currently 13 weeks. I too have had this dream of loss and I remember having it with my previous pregnancies also.
    Pregnancy is an emotional time and anxieties may lurk subconsciously. Of course no one wants to consider losing a baby but it will lurk somewhere in the back if every preganant womans mind.
    As awful as it is when you wake, take a breath and reassure yourself that it was just a dream. The scan will put your mind at ease.
    Unfortunately I think it's just part of having that motherly protectiveness.

    Be happy, relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

    Oh yes. Several times. But what a relief to wake up and realize it's a dream!

    I have too, and everything has been fine. I think it's our fears manifesting itself in our dreams. If it helps, we have always had dreams we were having girls and we have 2 boys. Sooooo ;)

    I think it's a normal part of pregnancy. I'm at week 15 and dreaming about other outcomes at birth that make me make up wanting to cry occasionally. Your dreams get very realistic and a little crazy during pregnancy. Good news is you get to see your baby on Monday!

    It's totally a subconscious thing. I have had them with previous pregnancy 1 healthy, 2 losses so I understand they can be terrifying. I am sure everything will be just fine. Fx for a great 12W scan for you.
