  • I am left handed for writing, but right handed for sports.  I'm particularly good a pool since I can switch it.

  • Left handed for everything, but scissors. Thank you elementary school and your right-handed only scissors.

Left handed for writing and eating and art painting. Right handed for throwing, sports, scissors, and rolling paint on the walls (I thought that was weird).

During soccer, I was able to use both feet equally.
  • Mostly a righty but I can write very well with my left, just takes a little longer to do and I'm not a patient person. Left side is dominant in other activities.

  • I am right handed. My husband and 3 of my 4 kids are lefties. I am curious if this baby will be a lefty too.
  • I use my right for fine motor skills, like writing, and my left for gross motor skills- with just a few exceptions.  I think the exceptions are only because my parents thought I was right handed and taught me that way, like tennis and batting.

DH is the exact same way.  I'm curious to see what our kids will be.  DS seems to be mostly right handed.

  • Right handed but I hold my knife and fork round the wrong way.

  • I'm right handed (writing, sports), but I eat and brush my teeth left handed. And I'm very left-footed.

  • I'm left handed for most things (and identify as a left hander, not cross dominance lol), but I always played baseball/softball right handed because I had a righty glove and I bowl better right handed.

  • I always thought DH was weird because he is totally right handed, except for playing pool! I now see that this is more common than I would have thought!

  • I suspect that most lefties have some dominance issues due to it being a right handed world we live in.

I'm left handed for writing and throwing and eating.
Right handed for bowling, pool, gymnastics, archery, and pretty much any other "learned" activity.

So while I have cross dominance issues, they are all due to society.

I'm right handed but since my mom is left handed I use my left for a lot of things even writing which my writing looks almost similar which apparently is weird to most people. I use both hands equally I don't really think about which hand I use whatever hand is closest to the object is the one I use.
  • I'm VERY right handed. My left hand isn't good for much at all... though I do drive left-handed.

  • I'm right-handed. My husband is left handed and I'm pretty sure DD will be too she does everything left-handed.

Cross here. I was taught to write with my right hand so I tend to use it to write though I can write quite well with my left hand. For most sports I can play with either hand equally well but I generally just took the left handed equipment in school because it was on better condition.

For things that require a bit more wrist strength (like draining foods one handed) I use my right hand more (I injured my left wrist a lot as a child).

My mom was left handed but she was forced to write with her right hand in school. Everything else she does left handed whereas my Dad is totally right handed. They noticed I was ambidextrous before I started writing and just let me do what felt natural to me.

  • Left handed, my right one may as well not even be there! I do everything left handed. Lefties are awesome!!!
  • I write right handed, I crochet right handed, but with some sports, I'm a switcher.
I crochet right handed, but when I needed to teach a leftie to crochet, I just started crocheting left handed with no issue, so that was weird.
