MaterniT21 Cost

Anyone get the MaterniT21 and have it denied by insurance? I'm curious how much OOP the test actually is!!

    I got the Harmony test, and although it was not covered by my insurance, my Dr. office caps the cost at $130 out of pocket. Don't know the nuances of the differences, but maybe look into the Harmony?

    The genetic counselor told me the MaterniT21 test would cost me 2,000 because I had no indications to even need it smh.

    Unless you're in a high risk group initially, the genetic counselor is correct.

    My doctor told us that the MaterniT21 test would cost us $800 if the hospital we had to go to for it was not under our insurance (luckily we were covered)

    During our meeting with the genetic counselor she told us it was likely the Panorama test they use would be denied by our insurance because I am not AMA, etc. However, she said the company actually has a patient assistance program which generally puts the cost between $100-$200. She said we have to call the company directly once we received the EOB denying the claim from our insurer.
