Induced?

Hey I was just wondering, I went to my midwife today an considering I'm 36+4 she has suggested that next week when i see my consultant I should ask her to be induced as I'm suffering SPD aswell as numerous urine infections and other little problems, I'm just not so sure what I should say? If my midwife has said it do you think they will do it? Any advice or ideas what to say would be nice thank you :)

    Personally I would not induce before my due date for SPD. I've had it with 3/4 pregnancies including this one and while it's miserable and incredibly painful it's not worth inducing for, imo. As for the other health issues, not knowing details I can't really say if they are a risk or not. Unless baby was at high risk of danger in utero I would not consider an induction before my due date (and I was induced at 37 weeks with #1 due to severe iugr).

    Now- that being said, because of my chronic pain and other health issues, spd included, I do plan on asking my midwives about induction once I reach 40 weeks 3 days or so. I've never made it past my due date so I'm expecting #4 to follow suit and come a few days before or after my due date but if she doesn't I do think I'll discuss induction at that point.

    I personally would not asked to be induced before my due date. The only reason for that would be a life threatening condition for me or baby. I have constant pelvic pain and bladder infections this pregnancy and my previous one. I also have blood clotting issues for which I'm on blood thinners. Yes it would be nice to go early, it would be nice to be induced, heck it would cause me less bleeding if I knew when to stop my blood thinners so I could deliver, but even that is not a reason to be induced. Stick it out momma. You are on the home stretch.
