Chocolate milk causing baby to be gassy?

My LO is 6 weeks old and has been pretty good and hardly fusses at all. The last 3 days he is constantly fussy even while being held. The only thing in my diet that may have done it would be drinking chocolate milk. I have eaten chocolate and I drink milk almost daily. Could it just be chocolate milk that he's sensitive too?

    Yes definately. Chocolate or anything with caffeine can cause them to be gassy and cranky. So far I haven't noticed this with my daughter but my first son it would happen and I had to change and watch what I ate.

    She could also be going through a growth spurt. From what I've read (and my pediatrician told me today) they tend to be really fussy when going through growth spurts. Is she eating a lot too?

    I can eat chocolate because of that! I was adviced by her Dr and mine!

    The milk could do it too. A lot of babies have an intolerance to dairy at a young age. Like someone else mentioned, growth spurt could be the culprit too.

    I would think the milk before the chocolate. My first did that, suddenly at 6 weeks was a crying inconsolable mess, turned out to be a dairy allergy!
