Braxton Hicks...

I searched through the contraction discussions and this may be a dumb question but never heard of anyone's contractions making them have to pee to the point of hardly being able to get there. I'm usually doubled over trying to walk as fast as possible to the bathroom (not to mention how much of a struggle it is to get out of a recliner or off the couch to try to get there). Of course not having to go before. Is this normal?

Actual contractions not the b&h made me feel like I needed to pee,but if I tried to go I couldn't.Its just from the pressure from baby being so low and everything contracting making you feel that way. B@h only make me feel that way about the time my belly loosens up and baby is on my bladder.

Every time I have to pee I start having crazy contractions. Dr said it's totally normal.

Forgot to mention.. have you been checked for a UTI,they will also bring on contractions.

Things that cause my BH:
Having to pee
Bending over
Putting on socks
Sex
Laying on my right side
Thinking about any of the above
Thinking about BH
Just because

Sometimes, they make me have to pee.

@4littles yea I have been checked. I don't have a UTI. @SarahAnne1101 maybe having to pee is causing my contractions then? It usually happens after a nap or something.

I dunno, I think I was having them in the store today, or basically any time I walk too much. When I have to pee in the night, it feels like my vagina is going to fall out. I can't take much more of this.

@lindsay897 I am a ftm and I haven't had them either I am 31 weeks ? I am afraid when/ if I get them I will go to the hospital like a dummy and be Rachel from friends .

You might not be having noticeable ones. It' can range from tummy firmness to a more intense feeling. This baby is all in the front and i feel every single one, but my last baby was just a light tightness.

I have a lot of cramping and other pains, but no tightness. BH aren't supposed to be painful, right?

Yes! That's the feeling I'm having right now, that my vagina would just fall on the floor if I didn't have pants on. 57 days left & I'm in pain!

57, you are SO lucky! I have never wanted an early delivery so bad before. This is way too much right now with 2 older kids.

Yes yes yes. Normally I notice I'm contracting because out of no where I almost pee myself.. THEN I notice my stomache is really hard. Lol

I'm at the point where I'm not 100% sure if what I am experiencing is Braxton Hicks or not.
Either way something weird is definitely going on in there...

I've been having sharp pains along with cramping, typically when I change position and less than 5 times an hour. Doc told me today that's more of the round ligament pain. I thought I was done with all of that!

This is my 4th pregnancy & the only one I've ever experienced pain with. I can't wait for it to be over. I hope these next few weeks fly by!

Honestly idk if I'm having bh or if little one is balling up. Sometimes when I think I'm having one it turns out to be gas lol. 57 days and counting and gas is killing me along with hip pains that just started a few days ago..

I had the worst last night. my stomach kept tightening and releasing and I had to go like 3 times in an hour. I also felt like crazy pressure on my pelvic region--- I can only imagine what real contractions are going to feel like!!

ugh-- 33 weeks tomorrow and i just had about 2.5 hours of braxton hicks!! started with my stomach feeling really tight and added in some menstrual-like cramps very low down with lots of pelvic pressure and a backache, too! i was getting really nervous that it lasted so long! i drank 2 16 oz. glasses of water and laid/sat down with my feet up the whole time, luckily i was at home. presto, at about 5:30 i started to feel better. i was really considering calling my husband and telling him to come home early from work... and i probably would have called my OB's office but she's on vacation this week! anyway now that i am feeling better i am glad i waited but i will be packing my hospital bag today just in case! really hope the little one stays comfy in there for a couple more weeks at least!
