All the old wives tales were wrong.... And we couldn't be happier

We did the baking soda, Chinese gender, and wedding ring test. I have no acne, little morning sickness, and I only crave salt. We went into out 20 week ultrasound almost firmly convinced it was a little boy and what do you know.......It's a Girl!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to stock up on all those too cute baby shies and hairbows!

  • OMG! All mine said girl and it's a BOY!

  • My kids have always been the opposite of what all the predictors say. Except the elective ultrasounds. Those have always been right.

  • All mine say 50/50, so it's totally going to be a surprise!! 10 days left until we find out.

  • I'll add a superstition my cousin told me. Don't cut your hair while pregnant because the baby will come out bald! Her daughter had a beautiful head of hair when she was born. When she was pregnant with her son she cut her hair and he had a funny looking head of hair and was bald until one years old! I need a haircut but I will hold off
  • Mine all said girl and I am having a boy. I did the chinese gender, ring test and I still have morning sickness and acne. Who knows all crazy.

Interesting, I have never heard that one! Didn't hold true for me though, I don't think I got my hair cut while pregnant with my son, but I may have early on...he was bald. BUT, I did a major hair chop while I was pregnant with my daughter and she had thick black hair at birth!
  • Oh goodness! I crave all things salt And swear my babies a boy! I have to admit that I have thought it's a boy for quite awhile now, and still have a month until the a/s, I'm kind of nervous that we'll be told otherwise. I will be super ecstatic for either gender baby, but I have wondered what I would do if they said girl?!
What was your reaction when they said girl and you thought you knew what you were having? I know you're happy, but what were you thinking? I think I'd feel bad for my girl that I thought she was a boy lol
  • @MommaB16 I have been referring to the little one as "he" since I got pregnant so a huge shock to me! I think it took me a second to change my perception but as soon as I started calling her by her name( Aria) and bought a cute outfit I was sold!

    I love bald babies!
  • Each old wives tale for me has said boy OR girl...Ramzi said Boy, Skull Theory says girl, Chinese Gender calendar says Boy, all of my cravings and morning sickness say Girl............Really setting me up for a surprise when I find out (at birth).
  • Are any of you with acne having a baby girl by chance? I read somewhere that if a woman has acne she's having a girl. Is there any truth to this?
