(Possible tmi) increased discharge?

Hi everyone, I recently noticed an increased amount of clear discharge last night. It doesn't seem too different from what I've had all along, but there's more of it and possibly not as sticky. Has anyone else had this? I just want to be reassured it's normal and not amniotic fluid. I'm currently 24 weeks.

You're probably fine but if you're extra worried you can call your doctor. You're going to get all kinds of discharge and that sounds normal to me. Amniotic fluid (and my water broke at home where it gradually tinkled out so I know what that's like) is not like discharge at all - it's like clear pee that just keeps coming. If you've not had anything more than just the clear discharge you should be ok. But like I said always good to check if you're worried.

Happening here too. I understand it to be common. Unless it is a huge amount to discharge I wouldn't worry about it.

I had this a few days ago and was freaked out. I'm also 24 weeks today. Baby still seems active and it hasn't happened again. If you are concerned at all, I'd recommend contacting your doctor.

Here's some info on determining the difference between urine and amniotic fluid. I haven't found anything about discharge vs amniotic fluid.

Increased discharge is common/normal during pregnancy. However, it can also be a sign of a UTI. Usually it will be yellowish or have an odor, but not always. Pay attention to other signs that might be UTI related.

You're probably fine but if a call to the Dr will ease your mind, that's what they're for.
