I have PCOS and I track BBT. I don't expect a normal chart, but this one is new for me. Does anyone know what this means? Did I ovulate? I'm meeting with my OB about medical help tomorrow.
Did you stop temping on CD 28? Was it because you got your period?
I have PCOS and I chart and use OPKs. My charts were all over the place when I was taking my temp at the same time each day so I started taking it when I woke up. That helped a bit. Charting with PCOS can be tough since your body isn't working "normally" so you won't have "normal" charts.
OBs aren't the greatest when dealing with PCOS and TTC at the same time. Mine was going to treat me without figuring the cause of my PCOS. he assumed I was insulin resistant but my RE discovered I'm not.
OBs are great for any questions you may have. Some will look at charts and some won't bother, I've dealt with both. Don't waste your time/copay on someone who won't look at your chart. You can call ahead and see how the doctor/office views charting.
Your chart looks like something is definitely going on, so don't get discouraged!
Thank you Copperlane! No I haven't stopped temping, that's my current chart as of today. My OB has done the insulin testing and I'm on the normal scale. Hopefully we'll figure it out soon.
Its certainly possible. I think it dropping again so quickly is problematic, maybe you have low progesterone in your Luteal phase? OR its your body trying to O but not avle to yet. I just got my first "normal" temping cycle with PCOS (though it was still 48 days) where it was pretty stable for 5 days and after O the temp was high about 7 days, and positive opks. Before it became stable, though, there were like 4 spikes and gradual drops. I also had EWCM 2 or 3 different times before the last time. But the final spike was much bigger (98.3 instead of going to 97.8 from an average of 97.4). Looking back, I see those false spikes in earlier charts too. Just my experience with spiking, every woman is different, especially with PCOS
You may not have sustained high progesterone (which causes that 5-10 days of high temps after O), or you may not have O'd yet. Time will tell, if you see AF or not!
Me(28) and Husband(39): 10/5/2013, TTC since 10/2013 Metformin 7/2014, BFP 8/14/2014, MC 11/1/2014 Dx: PCOS, cycles 38-72. As of 6/2015 trying to lose weight and fix cycles with diet and exercise!!
