Breastfeeding

Pumping at work

so I am going back to work in September. I breastfeed my twins, they willbe 4 1/2 months when I go back. My question is, if I don't get a chance to pump while at work & I'm engorged & I decide to pump on the car ride home (a 45min drive) will I beable to breastfeed them right away when I get home? Or will I be "empty"?

Re: Pumping at work

  • If you do it regularly, I'm under the impression the body would adjust (in part or full) - but I'd think initially you'd be empty unless you start an extra pumping session at that time now while at home.
