placenta encapsulation

Has anyone has any experience with encapsulation? I have a friend that tried it and raves about it but I am still a little iffy. Any and all feedback welcome!

    I wanted to do this with DD2 (Sept '13) but I never heard back from the girl in Pgh who does it. And the hospitals will want to take the placenta to pathology before releasing it to you and I wasn't ok with that. I didn't want anyone touching my placenta except me. So I opted not to do it. I had a MW though, and had I delivered at the birth center, I could have taken my placenta home with me, in a cooler, which would have been awesome :-D
