Nice things you've done for your SO

Like a similar post of what our SO's are doing for us, what about what we are doing for them- besides birthing a watermelon...

I've been mega b*tch lately so I figured I've had some making up to do...

On my day off the other day I deep cleaned the house, made some banana bread, and gave DH a massage before bed since hes been whining about back pain. (ahem...)

And yesterday I made an awesome chocolate bundt cake with fudge frosting. - maybe not so much for DH as it was for me but I know he enjoyed seeing me so happy about baking something that turned out nicely.

Re: Nice things you've done for your SO

  • This is a cool idea. My fiance has been awesome. Other than a few things here and there he has REALLY stepped up to the plate. In all areas.......So, what I've done to be "sweet" is... make him breakfast every morning (which I would normally do anyways, but I've been making it extra awesome lately), cleaned our room but also organized his side of the closet and cleaned out his toiletries and re-supplied them, helped out in any little way that I can really..... Most of it's stuff I would normally do but I'm just trying to be extra nice/sweet because when the bitch comes out - oh boy is she out!

  • I'm not sure I have anything I could add here right now, but this post has inspired me to do something for DH!
  • My husband is great so I try to do nice things daily through out the day. Maybe I'm an odd one but we both do nice things just cuz that's the way we are to each other.
  • DH fractured his elbow playing soft ball two weeks ago, so he's definitely gotten a lot of TLC lately.  I cooked more meals, did his chores, and helped him get dressed the first couple days.  He will get to pay it all back in 5 months.  ;)

I have been trying these past few weeks to really think of things to do especially for him. I feel like I do the laundry and clean the house but that's my job as a sahm. We are both ready for fall and he loves to decorate for Halloween so last week I bought him some spooky candlesticks to add to his Halloween decorations. He loved them! He tried to put them out already but I put them in his Halloween box. And yesterday I made his favorite cookies and dropped them off at his work.
  • I have recently found my energy again and also began cleaning/making dinner.
  • Great thread idea! As I'm starting to feel better, I'm trying to be sweeter and do nice things here and there. Today I bought him some new hiking socks.
  • Our toddler has been a handful lately, so this weekend my parents are going to watch him so we can have a break. I'm surprising him with dinner, a play, and a night at a nice hotel!
  • Today I told DH I was ok if he went to a week long conference 6 weeks post EDD. I have a feeling I'm going to regret that in a few months, but he thought it was super awesome of me.

This thread inspired me yesterday to pick up a big 20-can case of coca cola for my SO! He is a cola fiend and I think it's a complete waste of money, so he was pleasantly surprised. :)
