I agree with pp. coverage works best. We're a family of redheads, so we burn easy. We just cover baby with a Muslim swaddle blanket and no burns. If you go to the beach or something, bring a shade umbrella if you have one.
What's the happy medium between coverage and allowing them to get a little bit of sun so they can have natural vitamin D? I'm pretty sure that even when you are wearing sunscreen your body doesn't process the vitamin D
Asked the pediatrician at LO's two week appointment today, she said no sunscreen until 6 months old & to keep them covered. She recommended the vitamin D supplement...I got some...going to try it starting tomorrow
