MY BACK

is on fireeeeeeeeeeee. 2 more months of this I don't know how I am going to make it. Sitting at work all day is torture. I've bought all sorts of pillows for my chair but no relief. Any tips?

Re: MY BACK

  • Plenty of stretching. I have to stretch out my whole body as well as just move around while at my desk.

  • Can you get up? I used to set reminders on my phone to stand up and walk around.
  • Take walks before or after work. Strengthen as much as you can. Also stretch your hamstrings a lot, as everything is tied together.
  • Have you tried any kind of belly belt or belly cradle? It can help take the pressure off your lower back and some peoples insurance cover them.
  • Maybe get a giant exercise ball to sit on (instead of your office chair)? I am ordering one soon since I also have back pain from sitting for more than one hour in my office chair.

Find a chiropractor. I was having so much sciatic pain that I couldn't walk or sit or lay down. One session and I could move again. She showed me stretches to help keep my hips and back aligned with the added baby weight.
  • Try some prenatal yoga.  If you don't have time for a class if your area, there are helpful videos online.  My back has been killing me lately and I swear the snoogle and the yoga are helping quite a bit.
