Re: Healthy living check-in 8/10/15
1. I won the "Weekend Warrior" challenge I was part of on FitBit this weekend. I walked just shy of 20,000 steps yesterday and most of that was taking DD on a walk throughout the city and to the park since she was up my butt and wouldn't let me leave her to go for a run. I'm proud of myself for being active even though usually that would make me just sit at home with her on the couch.
2. I need to consistently meet my step goal for the day. I notice that I feel better about myself and have more energy when I do this consistently.
3. Lots of walks with DD and running when she lets me get one in! I'm hoping for at least 5 walk/runs this week and keep tracking my calories on MFP.
QOTW: This is so hard for me. I've gained 10 lbs. each time I stimmed and it is hard to drop it in between (meaning, I didn't). I did a lot of walking and some recumbent bike while stimming since my RE did not want me to run at all while on stims and for 2 weeks after retrievals. Which basically adds up to no running for a month and running is how I keep my weight down. It's a struggle for sure!

1. I thought I did great last week and was proud I worked out an extra day, but somehow had my first gain since March. I am not happy. I am not sure if I it's the BCPs I started or if I just hit a plateau.
2. I need to not beat myself up over a 1.5 lb gain when I have lost 45 lbs, which was all my baby weight and the fertility med weight with my son.
3. Gym 4-5 times a week, low carb/low calories with a few cheat meals, and using MFP.

1. I went to my mom's for 5 days where all they do is eat out. No seriously my mom doesn't have anything in her fridge except expired stuff, no thanks. So I'm proud that while I was there I ate the healthiest options I could. For example everyone had pizza one night and I ordered a grilled chicken wrap.
2. I need to do better working out. I took the week off because of IUI and because DH wasn't here to help with DD.
3. 21 Day fix round 2! Did my workout this morning and it was hard but I feel better already!
QoTW: I really don't know how to do this!!! lol. I'm just going to do my workouts but with a little less intensity.

2. Something you need to work on: Not giving in to so many splurges - I had a deep dish pizza splurge meal on Friday and yesterday I ate chips and dip for dinner.
3. The plan: Week 2 of the 21 day fix this week. I hope to do all the workouts again. I also want to eat better so I need to go to the grocery store with a meal plan otherwise I don't buy anything.
QOTW: how do you stay healthy while actively cycling? This is going to be my main focus this time. Last time I ate whatever I felt like and didn't feel much like exercising. I really need to do some low impact workouts as much as I can. Then hopefully I don't gain as much weight as last time.

Then you also get different color containers to help you manage your portion sizes of food. You can basically eat whatever you want but only the amount of the container.
I am in an awesome 21 DF Facebook group too. It helps keep me motivated and accountable.
Yup! All of this^^
It's a lot of common sense...eat more veggies and fruits and less carbs and drink tons of water! It's more specific than that but that's the gist.
