it's 10pm here so my doctors office isn't open, and this may have been posted before but I don't know what to search and I'm just a nervous wreck.

I'm leaking ALOT. It feels almost like I peed my pants a little (I promise it isn't pee) but is just a clear liquid. I'm 17 weeks. Is this normal or is this something I should call my doctor about immediately? I don't want to bother them with a silly question in the middle of the night so I was hoping you guys could help?

Also, I googled it and there were a lot of people saying they were leaking amniotic fluid and were forced to deliver early, but I'm not far enough along for the baby to even survive if I was forced to deliver. I'm sorry about the long post I'm just having a major freak out!

I would call your doctor if you're sure it isn't urine. They will probably make you go to the ER and they will test you for amniotic fluid.

My doctor told me that if I have any sort of fluid leak, like you are describing, to call in just like PP suggested.

Your doctor is there to help you through this pregnancy. You shouldn't worry, they have an after hours line for a reason! Hopefully you are already on the phone calling.

If you haven't already, please call your doctor ASAP. This is not a silly issue/ question. You should call and have someone on-call paged so that you can speak with them about this.

If you're ever concerned and think it could be a big problem, call. That's the doctors job. I hope all is okay. Keep us updated.

Thanks for all your quick responses ladies! At this time they aren't having me come in...I need to call them with an update in the morning. I don't feel like I really got much of an answer from them but at least I can talk to MY doctor in the morning and hopefully feel more comfortable.

I know they said to check in with them in the morning but if you are still nervous go to the emergency room. It's worth it for your sanity and your little one.

This happened to me a few days ago at 18 weeks, I also posted about it, are you continuing to "leak" or was it just one big gush? If you are continuing to leak, I would insist on you going to the doctor if it was one one gush and nothing after, you could wait till morning. I had enough to make a small puddle on the floor, and it ended up being nothing, baby is fine, plenty of amniotic fluid, and membrane is intact. So I hope that whatever weird thing happened to me, is happening to you.

@ashhsa it was more of one big gush, I took a shower and cleaned myself up before going to bed and didn't seem to continue to "leak" I have no idea what happened and I think my nerves are just out of whack and flying crazy this week! Our wedding is in 3 days so I'm overly emotional anyways and this just put me over the top, of course I assume the worst ALWAYS!
