Strep B.. Yikes!

Am I a whimp or is it a bit more than uncomfortable when they do the anus part of that test?!?

    Same here. It was just a swab. I think some drs must just be rougher than others! I didn't even have a lot of discomfort with my cervical check.

    Mine wasn't bad except my calf cramped up BAD during the swab and I couldn't stretch it

    I was lucky and they just swabbed around but she wasn't gentle and I had some bleeding afterwards

    Hm maybe my midwife was a bit rougher because she def went in! I've had no bleeding or soreness after, it was just a quick OMG that wasn't fun! Lol

    Mine didn't hurt. She also checked my cervix while down there, which also didn't hurt.

    My ob is so cute, she's like "just a quick tap on your vagina and .. boop!" She said the boop as she did a little swipe of my butt. I had to hold in a laugh because it was just too funny. Super quick and painless for me.

    My midwife didn't even mention the butt... And she let me do my own vaginal swab. Just sent me into the bathroom with the equipment and instructions. It was super easy. Sorry some of you ladies had a bad experiance.

    Yeah, it wasn't fun for me, either, but I figured there are worse things to come with delivery and I might as well toughen up a little now... Blah.

    Yea my thought too was hopefully nothing will be inserted in the butt during delivery!! Lol maybe that's just an area I'm sensitive about being approached and haven't been mentally preparing for haha

    Thsey swab your butt for this??? I had no clue...mine was weeks ago but I dont remember feeling anything around there. Either mine didnt do it or now I feel so violated. LOL

    Lol maybe I was the one violated!! Haha yes she did a quick sweep into vagina and then went into the butt. She said she was gonna before she did it but one can't be mentally prepared for that! Lol it didn't hurt at all until she did the second part

    It's DIY Strep vag and butt swabs at my doctors practice, but if it's possible to still feel violated when swabbing yourself, I think I felt that....

    The cervical check was very uncomfortable. But my Dr only swabbed the outside of the booty hole. Not very invasive
