U.S. Passport picture

For those of you who have been traveling or have applied for a passport for baby, where did you go for babies passport pic?
I know Walgreen does them but do they do them for infants?
I thought about doing it myself but not sure I'd get the dimensions requirement right on the pic(top of head to chin etc).

    I did it at the embassy where I applied in person... but my guess is anywhere that does normal ones would do infants, but am not 100% sure. I don't see why not, though, since the dimensions are the same.

    Tip from the embassy: put a blanket over your hands as you hold LO up, under the armpits. That way your hands don't show, since they're not allowed. Or, a friend told me to put two onesies on LO and hold your hands under the top one.

    When I worked at CVS we put a white poster board on the floor & took the baby pics.

    Thanks for posting this--was wondering about it too! Do you know how long infant passports are good for? It seems like they will look nothing like their picture in just a couple months...

    I downloaded the app called Passport Photo ID Studio and took them myself. First one, LO was 3 days old for his passport so I put a white sheet over the bouncer and stuffed a diaper under the sheet on each side of his head. This morning I had to take more to get his visa and I just laid him on the white sheet on our bed and he cooperated perfectly (now 5w3d). The app helps you scale it properly to get the right dimensions. I would advise using their tips for taking the picture (namely, making sure the head doesn't take up more than 50% of the frame) but take it with your phone outside the app and then just upload it in the app. They even give you the option to print and it will make a sheet of photos that you can save and send to Walgreens our Walmart to print.

    They're different sizes because one is for US passport and the other is for UK visa.

    We got my son's picture taken at kinkos. The process to get a passport sucks, at least here in California! But it didn't take long once we applied to recieve the passport and it's good for 5 years, which is lame considering adults ones are good for 10 years and the price for a child's passport is less but not half the price

    Thanks everyone! But it looks like it won't be needed anymore.
    We had a family situation come up and need a passport for him by Monday but unfortunately the next appt available at the passport agency is too late. Everyone I talked to on the phone said that they are booked all week and there's nothing they can do. So it looks like I'll be staying put.
