Finding out gender early?

I know a lot of people have done blood test and have been told the gender of their baby that way, but has anyone found out early the gender of their babies through ultrasound?

They have but its not very accurate. I had a friend that was told she was having a boy only to find out at the regular 20 week anatomy scan it was a girl.

I've been told earliest is 16 weeks to find baby's SEX More accurately. However, I would trust it more at 20 weeks as pp mentioned.

I have seen a place around where I live advertise for guaranteed (*some stipulations may apply) accuracy of the sex using 3-D and 4-D ultrasounds as early as 14 weeks. I thought about getting one but honestly I don't really care that much to pay $150 for an elective ultrasound when I will find out for free in less than 6 weeks.

I'll be finding out the gender at 13 weeks due to genetics testing...pretty accurate since the X and Y chromosomes will be evaluated. (t21 test due to age)

With my second child I find out she was a girl at 15 weeks and at 17 weeks I find out my third was a girl as well. I'm waiting to find out the gender of my fourth through ultrasound. Whenever that may be. But I doubt it will be as early as my other two.

I checked into the 2 we have in our area and they won't determine the sex until 17 weeks. However, if you pay and they can't determine, they allow you to come back at no charge.

ETA - I checked into them because I see other women having scans at 12 weeks and I won't see my doctor again until 14 weeks. I decided against it because to me, those are for fun and I'm more interested in the diagnostic side.
