My father indulged my love of green by painting my room "pesto" when I was in high school. It was DARK green. I was not a super girly-girl, but it still needed a feminine touch. We ended up getting curtains and bedspread with really pretty deep pink rose pattern. It looked great with the green. Granted this was the 90's and probably came off on the Laura Ashley side of decor, but I loved it. For a more modern look, maybe a chevron pattern with some pinks in it for windows/pillows? I think that would look great with forest green.
I went to a school where one of our colors was Forest green and the other school color was grey.. It looks nice together.. Also silver looks good with it too..
I think a lilac color would probably look nice with it and you could do a safari theme. They have adorable lilac jungle animal bedding that I've seen various places.
If there's something strange underneath the hood. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. If there's something weird and it don't look good. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. Immediately. If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.
I'd say rose or ivory. Also if you can't paint you can always look into the wall decals that cover the whole wall. I wish I knew what they were called.

I've seen it and it's similar to wallpaper. I've also seen on Pinterest where people have covered the walls with fabric or done curtains.

Black furniture like the changing table and crib and gold accents throughout the room would be beautiful! You could find really pretty white and gold curtains, paint drawer pulls gold, gold picture frames.

I think they actually make legitimate "removable wallpaper" now and it's called just that.
Re: What color goes with a deep forest green?
A Dusty Rose (as others have said)
Light blues definitely (but if you want it to look girly, maybe trimmed in lace, or with a floral pattern.)
Browns look great with greens, but it could make the room look dark.
