hi, there. I've been absent taking care of LO but have BOTB once again. DD is 21 mos and DH and I are about ready to TTC and I'm excited and nervous to start. I'm from Kansas and will be popping in to lurk and comment on stuff :-)

@MrsRo731- I had mine out and it was so easy! They just have you cough and slip it out! I'm a big baby about anything medical procedurey (pass out every time my blood is drawn) and I thought IUD removal was a breeze. GL!

my sister had hers removed recently and said the same thing about the coughing. so thats great to hear

Thanks, guys. @MrsRo731, it went fine. Uncomfortable of course but nothing huge. The dr said to wait to start trying til I have a cycle or two but I have very long cycles so that could be 6 mos. Or more. He said they may have to put me on the meds that force the period (forget the name) if I haven't had one in a month. They may have to put me on clomid which can produce twins 1 in 4 chance). It's such a paradigm shift to be back in the mindset of TTC. My daughter is off the chain and we are coming into possible issues financially and I'm feeling anxious and second guessing TTC. Ugh, I just feel lost. Sorry for the downer, ladies, but that's how the doctor visit 'went'.

- maybe having to wait a couple cycles will help you get a little more comfortable with the idea of having 2 kiddos. I know I have days where I think 'how am I going to do this?' Did they tell you you may need meds bc you weren't getting your period with Mirena or is it related to a previous condition? I haven't had my period either so I'm curious if they'll tell me the same thing.

@mrsro31 Yes, because I didn't have periods on the mirena and because that's what I had to do last time around and it only worked for one month and then I didn't get anymore periods. I didn't have to take anything to ovulate last time around. Oddly and awesomely, I had my period three days after getting my mirena out a couple weeks ago. It was so light that I thought it was spotting, but it was for 5 days. I took an OPT because if it was a period then I should be ovulating soon and I had a light second line.
DH and I had some talks and though we're scared, we know it's time. Hope this helps!
