Amniotic fluid test

Hello ladies,

I had my weekly dr appointment today and was 4cm dilated. I had told my dr that I felt like I had been wetting my pants frequently and wasn't sure if I was slow leaking. Needless to say I was sent to the hospital for an amniotic fluid test after a PAINFUL swab it came back negative but I've been bleeding since and everytime I pee I feel like I'm peeing razor blades.
I told the nurse when I was discharged and she said it was fine and if it continues for 2 days to call back.

Has anyone else had this happen?
Did the bleeding stop?
I'm a ftm and know I'm probably over reacting but it's a lot of blood in the toilet.

    If it would soak through a panty liner then I would call my doctor immediately if I were you. I had a fluid test and had no bleeding or discomfort afterward.

    I had that test with DS and also had no bleeding. With what you're describing I would definitely call

    I was checked with DS and never had this... You need to see your doc this Doesn't sound right. Maybe the nurse scratched of irritated your cervix, or maybe she did something to induce you without telling you.

    My midwife did a swab test in her office and it didn't hurt at all.. I couldn't even tell she was doing it! So that doesn't sound Normal to me, maybe call your Dr to confirm though! GL

    When I got swabed with DS it didn't hurt at all. This doesn't sound normal. I would call my doctor.

    Thanks yall! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one thinking this.
    I called the hospital and am in Labor & Delivery now. They're keeping me over night, we'll see how it goes..

    Well I'm being discharged this morning.
    They monitored me all night and baby was VERY active and contractions were not consistent enough to be active labor.

    Dr examined me this morning and said the bleeding could have been from my cervix stretching. Hello 5cm but still no contractions..
