What's new with baby (size, development): Upgraded to a blueberry! Or, according to Ovia, a Brookesia micra chameleon, playing die, Berlingot candy or wee Raspberry lol.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Just had my first ultrasound on Saturday and all was good. Due date based off of LMP was spot on as far as baby's size. I did have a small hematoma so I am on pelvic rest until my appointment in just over two weeks. Like I need another excuse not to exercise lol. First time I've made it far enough to see a heartbeat so I am pretty pumped. Sending out a package to my mom today that will share the news. So happy for her to finally know - it's been killing me to keep this a secret!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Anyone else have experience with finding a hematoma during an ultrasound? My dr didn't seem worried and said I might see some brown/old bleeding.

GTKY: How long have you and your DH/SO been married/together? Dh and I have been together since high school (11 years) and married for almost 3 years.

I've had it with both pregnancies but they were both discovered when I started bleeding around 12/13 weeks.  They are very common and really there is nothing you can do with it other than rest.  Did your dr say how large it was and if it's near the placenta?

    Week: 8 weeks today!
What's new with baby (size, development):  Size of a gummy bear/raspberry.  Just had another ultrasound today and everything looks good!
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:  I found a crib on Facebook today that an acquaintance is selling.  Now that we have a crib I can start painting the other furniture we already have and planning other furniture/decorations for the nursery.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Still nauseous almost 24/7.  Extremely thankful to be pregnant but it's exhausting.
GTKY: How long have you and your DH/SO been married/together? We have been together 9 years and married for 5.

  • @skruhmin She took out a little measuring tape and showed me, but I can't remember the exact size. I think 3/4 of an inch? Doc mentioned it was from the placenta taking hold in my uterus, so I would think it's close to the placenta? Not sure though. Thanks for reiterating my doctor by letting me know they aren't too big of a deal :)
