Huggies vs pampers

We are having leaking problems.
Which diapers are you using?
We have been using huggies, but wondering if pampers might work better?

Re: Huggies vs pampers

  • Huggies actually work best for us. Both of mine peed right through pampers and luvs.

  • I hate huggies. They tend to leak more for us. We use luvs.
  • I have a boy and love pampers swaddlers. The pampers baby dry don't seem to work as well and neither do the huggies.
  • I had a mix of Target brand, Huggies and Pampers from our baby shower. I had heard Pampers were the best from everyone, but those are the only ones that have leaked for us (we also have used them the most, so that might be relevant). The Target brand have worked fine, but I don't really love them--they feel like they'd be uncomfortable. We had good luck with newborn size Huggies, but only went through one tiny pack of those. I have a huge box of size ones I'll use when the pampers run out, so that will be our true test!!
  • Pampers Swaddlers! Seemed like Huggies leaked more although I did like the tab closure better on them.

@Hannie7108 I have a boy and I've also gone through several packages of the Pampers swaddlers and have been very pleased with them! I like the wetness indicator and the tabs work well =D>
  • I have only used the pampers swaddler as that's what the hospital sends home and I had a small pack already. I like them but was wondering the same thing, I have a small pack of Huggies to try too.
  • I have a boy and the huggies didn't seem to fit right. I prefer Pampers Swaddlers and aim him down
  • I used pampers swaddlers on both of my girls. I have never tried any other brand because those have worked so well.
  • I was having leaking issues with the buggies snug and dry. I found out that the ruffles were on the inside.. I started making sure they were all pulled out, and haven't had an issue since.. But my baby is allergic to pampers.
  • My LO gets red intention marks with pampers. I think the pampers are too rough. We've been using huggies with no issues. With DS I only used pampers so I'm surprised that huggies are working for DD.
  • We have used both with no issues but my favorite diapers are actually the Parents Choice brand from Wal Mart. They run a little big but they are very absorbent and affordable.
  • We love the Pampers Swaddlers. No leaks with this type. I used Huggies newborn we had a 32 count bag, multiple leaks with them.
  • Using pampers swaddlers, love them. Have had 2 dirty diapers leak but that's more due to the consistency of the poo while having issues figuring out formula type for supplementing
  • Been using pampers swaddlers since birth since that's what our hospital uses. We have had no problems with them so we will continue using them.
  • I have always loved Pampers, Huggies always leaked with my oldest two. So, I stocked up on Pampers this time around and my LO seems to be having a reaction to Pampers and Huggies as she always had a rash (she is 3 weeks tomorrow). We have switched to Luvs and rash is gone and no leaks (so far). I am wondering if it is the wet indicator on Pampers and Higgies that is causing the reaction.
  • My friend swore huggies worked better for girls and pampers worked better for boys. We have used pampers for both our boy and girl with no issues.
  • I don't know how true it is (but its been true for us so far) but I have heard Huggies work best on babies that have chunkier legs and Pampers work better for babies that are long and skinny. Honest Co worked well for us too but they're kinda pricey for something you need so many of...
  • @holliechoules that would make sense for me. With my first I loved Huggies (he was very chunky) with this one (he's thin and long) I'm loving pampers. I thought I'd use Huggies again but after using one package I had a whole lot of leaks so I think I'm going to stick with pampers.
  • Honest company diapers have been great for babies sensitive skin.
