watching "the Human experiment" on Netflix and I am extremely shocked at all the harmful chemicals we are exposed of without our knowledge. It's even worse for baby products!
This made me wonder are any of the new mommies or STM plan on using green products? If so what are your favorite brands/natural products?
Re: Will you be using green/Eco-friendly products on your baby?
I will be washing DD's laundry in Seventh Generation free & clear detergent (bought that brand because I had a rebate on it, free and clear to be gentle on her skin). I usually use Gain, but I don't want to use anything scented on a newborn. I'm thinking I will wash DS's laundry with hers, because he's got a rash that I think might have to do with our detergent.
As for diapers and wipes - I can't really afford the Eco-friendly organic ones and I was unimpressed with 7th Generation's wipes when I tried them.
If you're really into natural products and don't mind spending a bit more, I know of an Etsy seller who makes diaper rash cream and nipple balm and stuff and it's all organic and natural. Check out Momma Bean Stalk on Etsy if you're interested.
I use babyganics lotion, shea moisture soap lotion and hair products, coconut oil or dr bonners castile soap. I also used Burts Bees diaper cream and multi-purpose ointment i/o vaseline.
PS they (EWG) have a database for household items as well. They are a great resource and were my go-to for all of my neurosis lol

I use Babo botanicals shampoo/wash, conditioner, lotion and sunscreen.
LOVE Burts bees diaper cream.
Earths best diapers and wipes are my favorite.
I use dreft on the baby clothes because I like the smell it leaves.
Babyganics has worked as well as any other sunscreen I've used and my sister uses it on my nephew too. I think the key is, like all sunscreens, to keep reapplying and use a large amount. The recommended amount for the SPF on the bottle is ridiculous for adults (like almost a golf ball for your whole body).
