At the moment I am not high risk. I was with my DD after my anatomy scan because they thought there was a possibilities of echogenic bowel, so I was monitored extra even after the perionatologist did not see anything on his more advanced technology.
I had complications (retained placenta) w/ the delivery of my first child. They informed me at the time, that should I ever have another child, that I would be considered high risk. I guess we will discuss at my first appointment.
DS1 - 9/18/12
DD1 - 3/23/16 - Survived for 1 Hour; Forever my Angel Baby #3 - EDD: 4/14/2017
My first appointment is scheduled for 9/3; however, I won't be surprised if I, at any point, will be considered high risk. I was on bed rest with DS at 34 weeks due to Pre-E. While on High blood pressure meds, I still had high readings: the day my OB said enough was the day my numbers were 180/116.
I'll be with a high risk doctor, again, g-d willing I make it that far. I have a chromosome abnormality, so 50 % chance of miscarriage. It's really weighing heavily on me today. Just trying to hold out for my first ultrasound on Wednesday. Hoping I get that far.
I will probably be considered high risk as well because I am old and fat! Lol I am 40 and have been really focused on my health for the past year. I am healthier than I was, but still have a long way to go.
I might be high risk also. With my son I had GD, high blood pressure, protein in my urine at one point and then when he was born, he found out he had a limb difference (something they never caught during my 10 different ultrasounds). I am praying for a healthy little bug or bugs
Yes, rheumatoid arthritis and I had my first high risk appt with the maternal fetal medicine folks this week (wk 5). This is my first and when I called my OBGyn originally I didn't tell them about my RA. A friend urged me to call back and tell them (she is a neonatal nurse) and I did - they said they wanted to see me at week 6 instead of 8, and that I needed to see the specialist as well. I had my first ultrasound and the baby showed up (a little tiny speck!)
I have a bicornuate uterus, so I'll probably be considered high-risk when I go in at the end of the month. I also have to take thyroid medication, but that is being monitored by a different doctor.
Is 33 considered "advanced maternal age"? I thought it was 35+. If so, I'll be 34 in a few days, so I'm old too.
Hi ladies, I am pretty sure I will be consider high risk this time. Currently I am 29 but will be 30 next Friday. 1. I had two chemical pregnancy when I was doing IUI (6 IUI). 2. My first pregnancy (first FET) I lost my son at 36 week due to cord accident in April 2014. 3. Six months after that,I wanted to try again but before even trying fertility med I got pulmonary embolism in my right lung. I was hospitalized for a week. I was on blood thinker for almost a year. As soon as I was off blood thinner I tried to do another IVF. I transfer 2 and I am currently 6w2d with twins. This Thursday I am going for 2nd U/S hoping to see HB, since last week was too early. Looking forward until all our babies are here well and healthy. Good luck ladies.

Wow, what a wild ride you've been on. I'm so sorry for your losses. I hope you have an easy time this time around.
I'm not sure yet if I will be considered high risk. DD has IUGR likely due to placental issues starting between 30 and 32 weeks, so we'll be keeping a close eye on this one. I'll find out at my first appointment how they want to classify the preg. @Afg2714 - I'm so sorry for your loss!

Thanks you. I hope so too. As much as I am scared I am trying to think positive.
I was 13wks with my 1st when I miscarried at the end of June. Has the D&C July 2nd and was monitoring my HCG level weekly, to make sure I made it back down to 5 or below. 3 wks ago I was at 7, Dr said 1 more week and I should be ok. The next week I spiked into the 100's. 3 days later I continued to spike into the 600's. The Dr believes I'm pregnant with my 2nd pregnancy.
I will likely be considered High Risk. I have Graves Disease and Hyperthyroid. Still working on controlling my levels and was in the midst of making the decision for a thyroidectomy. I've got an appointment with my Endocrinologist in a few weeks so we'll decide on continued treatment then.
I'm not sure if they will classify this pregnancy as high risk...I have Crohn's disease and my first was premature at 36 weeks (preterm labor started at 34 weeks). I'm with a different doctor this time around, so I will find out how they want to handle it at my first appointment in a few weeks.

Sorry, thunderjacking the post for a minute...
@brewergirl I am taking a guess because of your SN, was your picture taken in Lake Park?
