Several years ago, my back was fractured during a chiropractic visit; I didn't know about it for quite some time, until a doctor checking me for scoliosis did xrays and asked when my back had been broken. Definitely a shock. But when she asked, I started thinking back to any trauma to my back, and remembered a particularly bad visit to the chiropractor that left me unable to walk out of their office; that is all I can link a break to. Anyway, laying flat for me, unless on my bed (Sleep Number) is particularly painful, as is bending over, leaning in odd ways, etc. It has only gotten worse since getting pregnant. When I was at the OB on Wednesday, she said that if it persists and begins to affect daily function (which it already has), she will find someone to send me to for treatment. She said she wasn't sure *who* exactly, but that we would figure it out. She was shocked that I had never received physical therapy for it (as was my husband). My question is who might she send me to? Is there a specialist that Im not aware of? I have medicaid, and it only covers certain things related to pregnancy, so I am wondering if something that like would even fall under maternity/prenatal care....
