Hey ladies - this is totally irrelevant to babies on the brain but you are all so helpful I thought I could ask here. We just received an invitation to DH's cousin's engagement party. It's being hosted by her parents at a country club. Do we need to bring a present for this? If so, any ideas? They aren't registered yet. We've only been to a pretty casual bbq engagement party before so I'm lost! Thanks for your help! :)

    No need to bring a gift. I would be inclined to bring a hostess gift, if anything.

    I would bring them a card and bottle of their favorite beverage.

    I recently attended an engagement party that was at a similar setting and gave them a bottle of champagne and a card.

    We've always given a card and money for engagement parties, but you should do what you feel comfortable with. We didn't have an engagement party so I'm not exactly sure what is the norm. GL!

    Thanks ladies! I was leaning towards the card and champagne route but wanted to make sure it didn't need to be more extravagant than that.
