Holy sleep!

For those of you struggling with sleep....get your baby outside for more than a little walk would be my recommendation. My LO is sleeping like a rockstar now that we are up, active, and outside! I used to try the whole 1.5 he's between naps and she was not having it! We just went to a major league baseball game (dont panic she was in shade and had lots to drink and was perfectly happy) and she took a little nap when we got home. Bathed her, feed her and she was out like a light at 9pm. Normally I have to nurse her to sleep for like 2 hrs before I can lay her down...this girl was not moving last night and I woke her up at 5am to change and feed her because she didnt clustet feed or anything so I got nervous (plus my boobs could fill bowls of cereal). Ate for a little bit and is passed back out :) I have been digging these 8-10 hours so i figured I should pass on my tip!

Re: Holy sleep!

  • Great advice! Whether it's for more sleep, it's just always a great idea to take little one out! My daughter loves being outside, she is so eager to learn and see new things, so being out for her is not only good, it's fun for her. And just like you, she sleeps really well after cause she is processing all the new things she learnt :)

  • Agreed with pp! We do an hour long walk with our kiddos every night, weather permitting. They are super hungry when they get home & after their bath, usually drink 1-2 ounces more than normal. Then they go to sleep for the night. After we started the walking routine, they went from 6.5-8 hour stretches to 8.5-11 hours!!!
