nursing clothes

Holy monkey nuts (stolen from @marthaudani way back in April)- anyone have a good place to buy nursing tops? Sweaters/sweatshirts/tops?

I've seen super cute ones on etsy, but they're mega expensive. Going back to work soon and with pumping would like something easy breezy but cute (if possible)

Thanks

Hahaha! The struggle to find nursing tops that are affordable and stylish is really real! I've been wearing those horrid snap down tank tops with a tshirt over it. I'm guessing that I can just throw a cardigan over them for the fall.

Motherhood Maternity has some but they're not my speed.

However, I would like to know where to find some stylish nursing tops (if they exist) as well.

    Awesome question @daniellesiegel !

  • H&m! Just bought 3 online for $50 including shipping. And if you sign up for emails you'll get a 20% off coupon.
  • milkandbaby.com is a cute site for nursing clothes.
  • I've just been using medela nursing bra (amazing!!) under functional nursing shirts. Old navy has a lot of cute shirts that work well/are breezy non form fitting to easily pop baby underneath or get out of the way for pumping.
  • If you want cheap shop at wholesale7 i bought a ton of dresses for around 14 dollars each and took them to the tailor to be altered for breastfeeding, their stuff is really cheap but check the reviews sometimes the quality isn't that good and sometimes it's so great it last for years
  • I wear regular button ups, low cut tops to pull down, tank dresses to slip the strap off, loose shirts to pull up, and slouchy tees when i am home! All of these with nursing bras from Motherhood Maternity and Target. Also, if you want real nursing clothes for a great price check out Pink Blush Maternity online! They sponsored me throughout my whole pregnancy and I didn't have to buy any maternity clothes! Many of their items double as nursing dresses/tops!
  • The Latched Mama. I'm not sure your dress code at work, but they have tanks that are not the snap down type, the material is breathable and if you have to be more dressy at work you could throw a cardigan over them and it's fine. But, my favorite of their items is the hoodie. They have three types: lightweight with pocket, lightweight without and a regular thick hoody. I have several colors of all three types and I absolutely LOVE them. I live in Alaska, so I need lots of those. They are quick to ship, too. Only takes about 2-3 days to get to me once I order, which is a huge deal for living in AK.
  • I find it easiest to nurse in low cut tops, so low that they pretty much needn't be pulled down, mostly just pulled to the side. Those are found very very cheap at these cheap hoochie mexican shops all over my city. Only appropriate if you want to look a tiny bit slutty or have a cami underneath >.>
