FTM! Woke up at 18 weeks with a soaked through sports bra & shirt... I called my doctor & she never called me back. I'm totally freaking out! Any others leaking like crazy?

A friend was telling me about that. She's further along than you, about 32wks... But probably nothing to worry about.

I wouldnt think there is anything wrong with it. But its puzzling to me because when you give birth there must be some hormone released that lets your milk down so I'm wondering why that hormone would be getting triggered for you now, so early...

Yeah even after birth I didn't get leaky milk for a couple days. Colostrum is pretty thick and not leaky it would never soak through anything. I could see this happening with someone who had nursed previously though more so than for a FTM. It's probably not harmful though. I'm interested to hear what your doctor says.

I leaked some with my first pregnancy around 27 weeks. It was dark yellow when it began to dry in my bra. .. I don't remember with my second. And non with mc or this baby so far. .. Don't worry. Just put some pads in and wait to see what your Dr says.

I leaked a little starting at 16 weeks with my first. Wore beast pads from then on til now lol It started this week at 17 weeks with this one. Dr said it is normal for some women.... Just your boobs anxious to do their job. Hopefully it means breastfeeding will go as well for you as it did for me. Still going strong with my 20 month old and we really have had no major issues throughout....

Woke up today at 18 weeks with leaky boobs as well! I was worried at first but then did some research online and apparently it is a less common normal thing. Apparently it is a sign that you have high pregnancy hormone levels which is a good thing! Colostrum is sticky and yellowish but you can also leak clear substance. I did not have as much as you did but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

I used to leak before I got pregnant and thought it was so weird My doc said as long as is clear or white in color you have nothing to worry about. I would think it's the same for a pregnant woman. Now to keep from having an embarrassing moment I used udder covers reusable breast pads and they worked great for me!

I am 18 weeks too and I have been leaking! My mom was like usually that don't happen till you are farther along. I figured it was just normal?

Old thread but glad I found. I'm 28 weeks and have had some spots past few days in bra. Yellowish and clear. Today woke up with a big clear circle on my tshirt. Looks like it just happens and hopefully means good news for
Future breastfeeding! Will mention at my dr appt tomo too.

Last night I was playing a board game with DH, and looked at my arm wondering why it felt wet. Then I noticed a wet circle the right where each nipple was. Today I'm leaking even more. I guess I'll have to purchase some breast pads now.
