Anyone members of communities on Facebook that have been helpful with parenting/feeding/etc they can share?

I am a member of The Leaky Boob Community on Facebook and it has been a lifesaver with parenting and breastfeeding. So many people on there to answer questions any time of the day.

Any other good communities you think may be helpful?

Re: Facebook Communities

  • I'm on Ask the Chicks and dislike it, though I love Pregnant Chicken. Was also on a cloth diaper page called Fluff and... Something. It seemed helpful but I left when I decided not to use cloth. My local parents page has been the best one by far. But I have no special needs or interests right now, or else those types of pages would probably be of relevance.
Now that I'm back in the U.S., I'm on the Lucie's List page for the giveaways.

  • There is a local breastfeeding support page that I am able to check in with. I don't contribute to it (I don't really have anything to add that's helpful) but others post articles or cartoons or info on events or meetings, etc. There was a recent discussion on what and how to comply with NFL rules regarding bags / diaper bags at the local football arena (football is big here). There are also pics of ladies nursing - its a solidarity thing. I don't think it would do anybody else much good tho since its local (maybe @katyertl - but I feel I remember you formula feed?)

  • A bunch of exclusive pumping groups! It wasn't what we had planned for, but after days of frustrations with breastfeeding, it was the way to go to save my sanity and minimize anxiety. I just searched exclusive pumping and joined a few, they've all been really informative!
