Hi, question: I was stalking your TCOYF chart just now and was wondering- so first 2 cycles you charted were annovulatory right? And your third chart had a ovulation date but a dropped temp the next day? My chart kinda looked like that and TCOYF pushed my o date back a day. Do you consider the first high temp your o date or the second one? Thanks. Sorry for stalking your chart!
Re: MissMcCauley
Hey there! Don't be sorry for stalking my chart - that's why we post them to help each other out!?
With my 3rd cycle (11/29 - 1/4) TCOYF said I had a "fall back thermal shift. I do think I ovulated and I think I O'ed on CD18, so that's actually the day before TCOYF says I did. CD18 is also the day fertility friend thinks I O'ed. However, this is my first cycle O'ing since coming off BCPs in May. So hopefully this cycle will be a little more clear. Do you have your chart so I can check it out? I hope that helped! Feel free to ask me anymore questions! GL!?
Oh I'm a dork! Your chart is right there in your siggy! LOL!?
On your last cycle I think you O'ed on CD16 maybe and had a fall back thermal shift! Which would be better for you because that would make you LP 10 days instead of 7 days.
Here's what TCOYF says about fall back thermal shifts:
In a Fall-Back thermal shift the chart will have a pattern of a temperature drop on Day 2, followed by a sustained rise in temperature until menses. In a true Fall-Back thermal shift the Peak cervical fluid must occur before the first temperature rise. Otherwise it should be identified as a standard thermal shift with the rule of thumb applied to the first high temperature.
And here's a link to charts that are fall back charts:

Thanks so much. I thought my o date was the 16/17 as well but FF switched it on me so then I was worried about my LP length. So I think I'll see how this next cycle goes.
Thanks again and good luck!
