Flea meds for cats!

I know we have some cat people here. Today I was brushing my big fat Dude, and he has this ouchie on his back. I swear I see a little bug jump from it! Yuck! So I keep brushing, then I take the cat bath wipes and get just a ton of flea poo off of him. But I swear I haven't seen any signs of fleas in a long time. No abnormal itching or biting, cat or humans. So, time to get some treatment, but do I go with Frontline, or Advantage? Or something else I know nothing of! Help please! Trying to get fleas, termites, all things gross and creepy out of the way, then get carpets steamed, and hopefully I can freaking relax before the stress pops my poor baby out early! Will it even end?!!?

  • Go with revolution. Works really well in the humane society.

  • I don't have cats but was told a few weeks a go by the lovely ladies here between the two to go with advantage as fleas in some areas have become resistant to frontline (I always thought frontline was the best but my poor pups were still itchy after using it). I would think the chemicals would be similar/the same just in different strengths for dogs and cats. Sorry I couldn't be of more personal help :/ Good luck I know fleas can be a pain in the butt-especially when they pop up so unexpected like they did!!
  • We just used advantage and it gets rid of them!
  • Thanks ya'll. I am now thinking MAYBE this is old flea poop. Neither of my other cats have anything like it on them. My littlest cat is orange and pink, very pale skin. I examined her pretty well last night and saw not a darn thing. But still gonna treat them to be safe. They are all indoor only. Ug, this has been a terrible month for extra spending!
