I am officially out, which of course means we are on to IVF. While we planned for this we hoped that a few months off would be our lucky charm.
I am hoping that this can be a thread where I can find some gals experiencing the same sort of things around the same time and a place for encouragement in general. That being said, my name is Jessica and here are a few details about our journey so far. ![]()
TTC: 2 years
Me: 33 - unexplained infertility
DH: 31 -
% morphology --other numbers really good
Living in Phoenix with our pride and joy -- Olive the wonder dog!
So far:
Feb - May - 3 failed IUI
50mg clomid 1 mature follie
100mg clomid 2 mature
100mg clomid 2 mature
June - July --going natural
Aug 10: baseline ultrasound, meds meeting with nurse (most likely, will have to call to schedule first thing Monday morning)
Aug 28: begin injectables
Sept 28: retrieval
Oct 2: transfer
This of course is all based on the plan RE outlined in May, looking forward to getting more accurate information in the next few days.
Re: Sept 28 Retrieval... Anyone else IVFing Sept/Early October?
TTC for ever it feels like.
Me: 36yo with 1 scarred Fallopian tube. I have suffered more than a hand full of ectopics (one took my other tube)
Me -34 with APS (blood clotting disorder)
DH -33 with very low mot and morph
We have been TTC for about 2 years... All natural until now.
Already have my meds and am dying to get started! Our cycles won't be too far apart. I am looking for others to share with as well!
@MKLEWIS2010 thank you, thank you, thank you! You are always so positive and helpful! So, so happy you are expecting! We'll miss you when you move boards, but Wishing you a healthy 9 months!
@MelenaZ - good luck, I've heard those stims can be brutal. I'm excited to hear how you reacted, keep us posted!
@KareChristine isn't it amazing how we go from hoping AF doesn't come to cheering for her arrival! That's what I am (still) doing too, but instead of going right to stims I'm going on birth control. I guess to suppress to help generate more for retrieval - very counter-initiative to me! Oh well, I'm just happy to get the process going.
AF finally came & saw my RE for my baseline numbers. But was encouraging, I had lots of possibilities and my Dr. Thinks that based on past treatments that I should respond well. FX for that! So I'm on birth control now & waiting for my schedule to get things rolling.
How you getting along, still waiting?
If this round doesn't work, we will be moving on to a Sept/Oct IVF cycle. Don't have the dates finalized. Appointment with the RE if my beta comes back negative on Aug 28. (Praying its positive [-O< )
But if it's not, I will be on a similar cycle as you, just a little behind.
My and my husbands results are pretty similar to your situation. I'm unexplained fertility (but respond very well to Clomid); my husband has great numbers all around, but <4% morphology.
We will see what the next 2 weeks bring us.
Good luck with your new IVF cycle! Percentages are so much higher with IVF; hopefully you get your BFP!

@Colleen0516 FX you get BFP and won't have to worry about updating us here! I read about your acupuncture on another thread. I've toyed with doing that for a while now but haven't pulled the trigger. Would it be to late to start now?
The acupuncture helps prepare the uterus. It can help with blood flow, lining, follicle grow. I noticed a great change from last month to this month.

Aug. 28th is less than two weeks away for you!
I got my schedule last night... Looks like it will be a month before I even start stimming
9 sept - start Lupton
13 sept - day 1 stim
30 sept - ER
5 oct - day 5 transfer
Did I also mention I was experiencing a personal baby boom this weekend? 3 girls, 1 boy. One from a cousin, two from friends and the last (literally any minute now) from my bestie (other bestie due with #2 Dec). It started fun enough (baby names, hair color & such), but seeing my schedule last night made me really sad. These babies will be close to a year before I am holding onto my own (counting on #1 to work), while I am trying to keep it in perspective -knowing that we are closer to a baby now more than ever - I can't help but being sad.
---just needed to vent that.
