Hi girlies!!!
Congratulations on all of your adorable babies! I am curious about how you are feeling after csection (about 2 1/2 weeks out of surgery) and what your Dr suggests regarding flying after a csection... 'I am' a bridesmaid in a wedding that I will have to fly to be in after my baby is born. I am 8 weeks, so have not told the bride (or anyone!) The wedding is about 2 1/2 weeks after my EDD... I had a rough recovery with my first baby, but do not remember the details and time frames postpartum (my first baby was emergency csection and my incision is high, a few inches beneath belly button) Please let me know your thoughts. TIA
Re: Advice
By 2.5 weeks post surgery, I was physically good both times. That said, I have a very high tolerance for pain and have been told that I'm a bit of a freak whe it comes to recovery.
My other question would be what your plan is for the baby at the wedding? If you're breastfeeding it may not be ready for a bottle yet, so you'd have to be comfortable (as would the bride) having your very small baby at the wedding, or getting a sitter. I don't think I would have wanted to do either of those things with a 4 week old (or younger).
Edit: I had a vaginal birth and it took me almost 3 weeks to feel a little normal again. Had a lot of pain standing for too long and sitting.
Of course it'll come down to your own choice but at 2.5 weeks just keep in mind there won't really be any routine with LO, still be feeding on demand. What happens if LO needs to eat in the middle of the ceremony or photographs?
