Who's excited?

Hey ladies! My husband and I were discussing last night about how we are probably most excited about seeing what our baby girl is going to look like. And I was just wondering what it is that everyone else is probably most excited about with their pregnancy? I know there are so many things to be excited about, and maybe there isn't even a top one to pick.... But I would have to say of all the things I can't wait for, seeing my daughters beautiful face after years of wanting a daughter will be the best ever. Share what you're biggest excitement is!!!

Re: Who's excited?

  • I'm so excited for our little family to grow and the future! My mom is my best friend and I hope my daughter and I will have the same relationship. :)

I'm also a little too excited to dress her up! Bring on the tutu's!

  • I can't wait to see him, his tiny baby feet, newborn baby smell, so many snuggles! I'm just excited for it all!

This is going to sound strange but I'm even excited for the baby spit up? I know it's weird but I miss everything about having a little one (minus the diapers/no sleep but that comes with the territory)
  • I'm most excited to hold her for the first time, seeing her smile, and dressing her up :)
  • I'm excited to see if she looks like her sister! My husband and I have been mistaken for siblings, so there isn't a whole lot of wiggle room; I'm curious to see if we will have a Mini A on our hands!!
  • I'm excited for the first moment I get to hold her. I tear up just thinking about amazing it's going to feel. I also get excited about what she'll look like :)
  • I'm excited to love all over him and see who he looks like. I'm also very excited for the fun toddlerhood when he's curious and for the young childhood stage when we can play outside together! I loved being a tomboy and if my son inherits my love for the outdoors we will have a blast together.
  • I'm looking forward to that first moment holding him/her, especially remembering what it was like with my son. Everything with delivery had gotten so chaotic and hectic and then there was that sudden calm like the whole room just fell away and suddenly it was just him and me. Looking at his little face and those eyes as I was talking to him and he was following my voice to look up at me.

I'm excited to see what this one looks like. Everyone talks about my son looking so much like his daddy (a bit of a surprise with the blonde hair and blue eyes while I have dark brown hair and eyes). Also to see how different things are with going from one to raising siblings and how they come to interact.
  • I'm also most excited about seeing my son and daughter's face and curious to know if he'll look like his dad and she'll look like me or will it be vice versa. Also I'm looking forward to seeing when one cry will the other cry and when one mess up their diaper will the other and so on. I'm also thrilled about shopping for them both from the tutu's to the tux's and hair bows. I'm just overall excited to be the mom of twins.
  • I just want to kiss her little face and toes and hands and see her and hold her! I can't wait to see my hubby with her, and see her smile...oh so many things!
  • I'm excited to see how his big sister is going to be like towards him! She's already so caring towards other kids, she's going to be an awesome sister
  • I can't wait to see my 2 daughters' reactions to their baby brother! I can't wait to have our whole family together. Also, that first cuddle in the delivery room is so special. Oh! And his first day home. I think I'm just excited for everything! :)
  • I can't wait to see DD with him. She is so excited to be a big sister.
  • Yeah.. i want to know if she has hair or not. Whose toes she got. What her eyes look like and what colour they are. How long she is. If she's going to be as athletic and high-energy as she is now. What her voice sounds like.

    I'm really getting quite curious.
  • I'm excited to meet my lo, play with his feet, give him a bath, hug and snuggle him, feed him, burp him, change him, hang out with him and his daddy. See how my dad and SO and mom look at him. My dad and SO are SOOOOOOOOOO excited.

    I'm really getting quite curious.

I discovered with my son that the curiosity doesn't end with birth. He was born with medium dark hair and in the first few months turned golden blonde (although he still has dark eyelashes) and his eye color didn't settle until six months. They keep changing and there's the constant curiosity of how they'll look like as they grow. I wonder if he'll continue looking like his dad or will we start seeing other family traits as he grows.
  • I can't wait to see whether my little girl looks like her big brother. I always get told how much my son looks like his dad so I'm keen to see if our daughter will take after her dad as well or more after me, whether she'll have different colour hair/eyes to her brother. I can't wait!

At this point, I'm most excited to not be sick everyday. I can't wait for snuggles with my little man and to see if he'll have my red hair but he is kicking my ass right now!

    Edited because it's 3 am
  • I'm so excited to see my DH hold her and snuggle her... It's going to be so cute! Baby snuggles are the best! And I may be the only one, but I'm excited for those first nights in the hospital. I'm a nurse and see how it is on my side, but I've never stayed in a hospital before so I'm excited to see that and to bond with baby girl those first few nights too... Lots of skin to skin and just staring at her, it's going to be the best!
  • I love this thread. I'm just excited to meet and hold the little guy. I feel like the excitement of meeting him will get me through whatever labor throws at me. It will be so incredible to meet the little human growing in my belly!
  • I can't wait to see which personality and physical traits he will get from me as well as from DH.  I'm also looking forward to just getting to know this little person.  I'm also SO EXCITED to see DH with him.  He's been very active with the pregnancy and preparing for LO that I know my  heart will just melt when I see them together for the first time.

    I love this thread :)
  • Beautiful, fun thread.

I am excited to simply meet her, get to know her, mold her, and see her be a fierce presence in this world. Like many of you, I am sure, I never knew it was possible to love someone so much before they existed in the world.

I had a wonderful relationship with my mom. While I recognize that my daughter and I may have a different relationship, I am excited to see how we will love one another.
  • Im really excited to see what my son will look like as well. My husband is the one that has the more dominant genes (dark and curly hair, darker complexion, etc) so I think he will have a mini me on his hands. Husband has green eyes and I have blue so I'm excited to see what color his eyes eventually turn out, as I know newborns can change. I'm excited for holiday traditions and instilling our obsession with Halloween in him. Excuse to go trick or treating again anyone?!?!? :D
  • I'm like overly excited. He is seriously all I think of. We found out two weeks ago that we're having a boy and I have the nursery done. I'm so excited to snuggle him and just hold him. I'm also very excited to see what he looks like. I'm also equally excited to see my husband with our son. I know he's going to be the best dad ever.
  • Im glad I came across this thread and that I've been writing on this board more. I have been ignoring my pregnancy, telling myself that I'm not pregnant. I'm 38 yrs old with three kids almost 20, 8 and 10yrs old. I have two grandkids also. I had an IUD and didnt plan another baby. My IUD fell out and here I am. I'm excited about having another girl in the house. Right now it is me, my husband and our two boys.
  • I'm excited to hear his cry for the first time as he's born, letting me know he's okay.
I actually tear up thinking about it
  • I keep picturing different variations of what my little boy will look like -- so super excited about it. I finally get my mocha-frappuccino baby, and I wanna hold him right now. My husband is extremely dark, but his mom and my mom both have light eyes, so I'm just so curious as what the mashup will be I start to squeal. I even have a little newborn santa onesie I bought for him for xmas :D

This is our first, and hopefully, God willing, first of many, so we're both super excited about the beginning of it all.

  • I'm excited to see DH hold his son for the first time. Just thinking about it tears me up, and I already know it will be the happiest moment of my life.
