Placenta Previa

At my 19 week u/s, my dr told me I had placenta previa. She said the placenta was covering about half of the cervix. She kind of fluffed it off, and I didn't realize how serious it was until I got home and read up on it. She also put no restrictions on me... Wondering if I should not be doing certain activities. Anyone else in a similar boat? I'm having my next scan in September.

    19 weeks is pretty early. And if it's only at half there's a very big likelihood it will move so that's awesome! When my doctor found mine it was pelvic rest for me. But I've heard other docs say watch how much you are lifting too. Really just pay attention to your body. Spotting and call the doc. Heavy bleeding go straight to the hospital. Spotting is likely, but most doctors like to know if it's going on.

    Also that way you know it can still move. Most are detected at your 20 ultrasound, and I believe it's 98% end up moving. I was told I had it with ds1 and it moved by 28 weeks, and this time as well and I found out it moved by 35 weeks. So the odds are in you favor. Good luck!
