And its making me a nervous mess!
I used to not mind his riding the motorcycle (a Suzuki sportbike) whatsoever, and would even go on rides with him occasionally (obviously haven't done that since I found out I was pregnant). But ever since I found out that we're expecting our first child, I sit at home and fret every time he goes on a bike ride.
I know that he is a smart rider, and doesn't do anything stupid like speed, take turns too fast, pop wheelies etc. But I don't trust everyone else on the road - and I feel like on a motorcycle, you have NO protection in the event of a wreck.
He truly loves going on bike rides and I hate to ask him to stop, because it's a huge hobby of his. He knows how nervous it makes me and tries to keep his rides short and safe, but I still worry.
Just pregnancy hormones, do you think? Will I calm down on the motorcycle worries eventually? Or is this fear of something happening to the father of my child just a fun new side effect of becoming a parent?
