Saturday Randoms!!!!

wassup everyone!!! How is this newborn life going lol? I.N.E.E.D.S.L.E.E.P !!! My mom tells me to try to sleep during the day while my baby girl sleeps but I can't! I go into panic mode and then at night time she's up so I'm up! And when she naps I just want to stare at her beautiful face

;;My baby girl is only 2weeks old and the size 1 diapers are tighter so I have to start size 2 but sheesh !! That was fast!

Anyways how is your Saturday looking??

    NTLY, and greater quantities than normal when we give her a bottle. Hopefully it results in a good size increase. Even though I love her tiny size, we just ordered a bunch of AIO cloth diapers that are too big for her on the smallest setting, but they're so cute that I'm really excited to use them!

    I am so tired, definitely will be taking a nap if DD1 naps today. This LO naps about 98% of the day and DS can play independently or with DH so if I can just get my 22 month old down that would be lovely.

    After going out shopping 2 days in a row with auntie & grandma...today we stay home and have a quiet day, hopefully with some naps, while daddy is downhill mountain biking.

    Ready to bring LO back to the boob. Been exclusively pumping for the past 11 days. Awaiting some call backs from lactation consultants that do home visits. My insurance offers free consults but you have to go to their office. I figured the comfort of my own home will be best for me and my LO. I'm hoping that there aren't latch issues from bottle feeding and that we find our groove with both so daddy can still partake in feeding time!

    @Numajawara it's so fun and exciting watching and feeling our LOs grow. I love how chunky my baby boy is getting. Nice and solid!!

    Baby is 18 days old. We are working on BF and I just started pumping Thursday. So far only able to pump twice a day and only getting 1-2 oz each time so not feeling great about supply. Going back to work September 1st and am nervous about having enough frozen for her while I'm working. Also feeling really trapped in the house. Between that and the lack of sleep I think I'm starting to lose my mind. I keep telling DH if it doesn't get better soon she will be our only child.

    @pandd10513 -- 1-2 oz is totally normal!!! Don't worry about supply; you're doing great!  You will be able to build up a stash before you return to work; just do a little more every day.


    We're having guests over for the first time since LO was born, ~3 weeks ago.  I am very excited because I have been so, so soul-crushingly lonely here on Ft. Bragg.  These are new military friends of ours, so I'll have to host them a little bit.  But hey, what the hell!  Excited to see how it goes.

    I tried to cut DH's hair so that he can return to work in uniform on Monday.  It's the first time I've tried a men's haircut with scissors (not just the buzzer) and … 45 minutes later … I needed to take a break.  I'm tired, my back aches, and one side was much obviously longer than the other side.  DH was so understanding about the whole thing!  We're taking a break and will try again in a little bit.  Hoping to finish it before our houseguests come tonight…

    LO was awake for 5 hours during the day yesterday!!!!  She is growing much more alert.  She can see, she can push herself up with her hands (tummy time), and she is finally learning to cry.  I thought she would sleep like a pro at night, but alas, she was awake at least six times last night.  Wondering when her internal schedule will begin to become apparent, and hoping my baby remains the 'contented baby' that she has so far been.

    Yay!!! =D> just woke up from an almost a 3 hour nap while my baby Reign boy was sleeping!! Add that to another almost 4 hours earlier this morning, and I've had almost 7 hours!! :D

    Uggg, hubby came down with a cold and now I am a nervous wreck that my baby is going to catch it. She is 5 weeks old. He was holding her yesterday and everything...he thought is was just his allergies but today it is clear to us it's a cold. He's run down and a very low grade fever. Praying that my sweet baby doesn't get sick. :(

    My boy is a month old today! I also had my first outing with out him. it was only an hour to run a few errands. It felt so weird being with out him.

    I am still pregnant :(( . 41+2 today. I think I'm the last one from the July board. I have no dialation or effacement, baby is still really high. On top of that my DH invited his dad to come stay with us this week, in our house, where I am planning on having a home birth. Sound travels really well in our house so he will hear everything and I will now be stuck in my bedroom for the entire labor because our house is small and I don't want to be nearly naked infront of his dad. My DH will have to work everyday until 6pm so I will also have to entertain the man as well as take care of DD because my FIL will not be any help. And did I mention I'm STILL pregnant!

    @kmhefner01 what on earth was your DH thinking? My DH's dad was here as well (we were NOT planning a home birth) and we wouldn't even Let him stay with us!

    I eat oatmeal every morning because I was told that would help production. I just got Brewers yeast and am going to add that to the oatmeal each morning to help. I'm a little worried it'll cause gas in me and baby tho.

    Went to the benefit brow bar today for a wax/tint, felt nice to have a little me time & a little pampering as a belated birthday gift to myself.

    I also feel like doing cartwheels that I pumped 5.5oz today, a personal best (I have supply issues & baby girl goes through 24oz a day).

    @kmhefner01 don't feel too bad... I'm *literally* right there with you!! Also planning a home birth. Today I am going to attempt a castor oil/pumping induction (mw approved) bc 10 days overdue is really just too much!! Hopefully we will have our sweet little ones soon!
