5 days without poop!

Not sure what to do! I just had my baby 3 days ago and he's pooping fine, but my sister who had her baby 2 1/2 weeks ago is having issues. Her newborn pooped a lot on days 1-2. Then, she didn't poop for 5 days. Then she had a small poop on day 7. And now hasn't pooped again for 5 days. She is still eating regularly (breastfeeding) and peeing a lot. However, no bowel movements. Lots of farting though. The baby doesn't seem to be distressed (crying). What is going on? I'm so worried for her and can't stop thinking about it! Any ideas or suggestions. We're calling the doc again tomorrow but I'm hoping someone can ease my mind tonight.

    Exclusively breastfed babies can go up to a week without pooping- it's very common.

    This. DS only pooped every 4 days.

    my son did the same exact thing. he's 16 days old. my husband and I freaked out, too. docs say it's totally normal. he's pooping regularly now (past 2 days).
