has anyone heard of the aloe Vera drink to naturally induce labor?
I bought some faraon aloe Vera drink from walmart and was trying to figure out how much I actually had to drink to bring on contractions... And if anyone had any other suggestions. I am 39 weeks
Re: Natural ways to induce labor
Sometimes I vlog on YouTube. Check out my channel here!
He also said walking and sex help make labor easier in many cases. I've been walking a lot, I've become bffs with my exercise ball and now DH thinks I'm trying to "seduce" him every night. Even if these things don't jumpstart labor, they're keeping me occupied and making the time pass by more quickly,
My midwife recommended an acupuncturist who i went to yesterday morning. Not in labour (only 39+4 though) but it has helped with constipation, sleep and a bit with back pain so I'm glad i went!!
Midwife also recommended clary sage oil rubbed on stomach (2 drops of the oil to 10ml of carrier oil - i use coconut oil) so I've been doing that too. I also burn it with lavender and put it in my daily bath with lavender to relax.
To be honest I've actually found nipple stimulation to be pretty effective at creating contractions. Hubby started doing them as a joke the other night (stimulate couple of minutes, wait for contraction, wait few minutes then repeat). It was actually giving me good strong braxtons...but he fell asleep into the fourth round... :-w
But clearly if baby ain't ready, baby ain't ready! At least the things being done aren't of any harm to baby and are generally otherwise beneficial in other ways. Exercise, intimacy, relaxation, regular bowel movements, sleep... just as important as ever!
