We've been working on a behavior/chore reward chart with my 3-year old. Every morning I tell him that i really want him to be good, super helpful, and get all of the stars for that day. This morning without me prodding him, he told me, "I'm going to be really good today and I'm going to get ALL my stars!" He also tells me every morning that after I get ready we need to snuggle - our thing is to watch Octonauts and snuggle in our bed. I told him I needed to go make breakfast and he hugged my arm tight and said I was trapped and I couldn't go, I just needed to snuggle. He's just so big, so smart, so funny.. And then my second - I can't believe how well he is doing with the walking thing. And he just gets so excited for life. He loves to make us laugh. I am so lucky to be their mom - I can't believe how much God has blessed us with these boys.

Last night, we went downtown (Dallas) to a cool park that has food trucks and got one of my favorite meals and had a good night just hanging out, listening to live music while we ate and H enjoyed some beer. On the way back home my husband said that he never expected he would be this excited for a baby and I teared up. We didn't plan on TTC until 2016 and when I found out I got KU way quick, I kind of panicked because I didn't know what his reaction would be. It just fills my heart with joy to hear his excitement.

I'm not feeling incredibly nauseated today. That's about as positive as it gets in my book right now
Oh, and when I went to put my room back together at school, I found that somehow most of the furniture and big stuff was already in the right spot (it's a Christmas miracle).
My four-five months of 60+ hour weeks are dwindling down. Also, two weeks from now I may even get FOUR days off in a row to go with my husband to NJ. He has training for his job so I basically get to tag along and live it up in a two bedroom hotel suite and do nothing. It would be a dream if it was on a beach or in the mountains but after the last few months at work, even NJ is paradise.
I probably just jinxed it but keeping my hope's up!

September Siggy Challenge : Favorite Childhood Movies ( Sorry I have two)
Hubs told me how excited he was to be more appreciative of the early baby stages, they flew by so fast with DD he wants to enjoy the "squishy baby" phase as much as he can

When I was in graduate school I worked as a nanny for a little girl (she was 7 weeks old when I started watching her, and she is 5 now). We moved out of state 15 months ago and I hadn't seen her in that long, BUT I braved a 9 hour roadtrip to visit her this weekend and I am SO HAPPY to see her!!
That made me tear up. It is amazing getting to see husband turn into a dad even before the baby is here. And food trucks...yes please!
DH surprised me with his "Daddyness" the other day. I was so sick there was no way I wanted anything to do with food. I mean come on, I sucked on a Jolly Rancher and threw up! He kept prodding me to eat and then finally, completely straight faced and very upset, he said, "YOU'RE STARVING MY CHILD!" It was cute, I wanted to punch him, but it was still cute.

Ds has been diaper free for the last 3 days even at night! So proud of him! Also so excited not to have to deal with diapers (at least for the next 7 months).

Yes! We love it there. We made the trip just so we could get food from The Butcher's Son. When we go it's usually on the weekends but it was nice to go during the week for once.
