Positive Friday!

This was done on another board and I really enjoyed it.

Everyone share something positive that has made you smile, laugh, or yes-maybe even cry this week.

Growing a baby is stressful business and we could all use a pick me up once in a while.

That made me tear up. It is amazing getting to see husband turn into a dad even before the baby is here. And food trucks...yes please!
  • Friday is my short day and I get off at 2:30 - yay! Makes the long days Mon-Thur totally worth it!
  • I'm not feeling incredibly nauseated today.  That's about as positive as it gets in my book right now :)

Oh, and when I went to put my room back together at school, I found that somehow most of the furniture and big stuff was already in the right spot (it's a Christmas miracle).
  • My four-five months of 60+ hour weeks are dwindling down. Also, two weeks from now I may even get FOUR days off in a row to go with my husband to NJ. He has training for his job so I basically get to tag along and live it up in a two bedroom hotel suite and do nothing. It would be a dream if it was on a beach or in the mountains but after the last few months at work, even NJ is paradise.

I probably just jinxed it but keeping my hope's up!

Last night, we went downtown (Dallas) to a cool park that has food trucks and got one of my favorite meals and had a good night just hanging out, listening to live music while we ate and H enjoyed some beer. On the way back home my husband said that he never expected he would be this excited for a baby and I teared up. We didn't plan on TTC until 2016 and when I found out I got KU way quick, I kind of panicked because I didn't know what his reaction would be. It just fills my heart with joy to hear his excitement.

  • Hubs told me how excited he was to be more appreciative of the early baby stages, they flew by so fast with DD he wants to enjoy the "squishy baby" phase as much as he can

  • When I was in graduate school I worked as a nanny for a little girl (she was 7 weeks old when I started watching her, and she is 5 now). We moved out of state 15 months ago and I hadn't seen her in that long, BUT I braved a 9 hour roadtrip to visit her this weekend and I am SO HAPPY to see her!!

Yes! We love it there. We made the trip just so we could get food from The Butcher's Son. When we go it's usually on the weekends but it was nice to go during the week for once.

We've been working on a behavior/chore reward chart with my 3-year old.  Every morning I tell him that i really want him to be good, super helpful, and get all of the stars for that day.  This morning without me prodding him, he told me, "I'm going to be really good today and I'm going to get ALL my stars!"  He also tells me every morning that after I get ready we need to snuggle - our thing is to watch Octonauts and snuggle in our bed.  I told him I needed to go make breakfast and he hugged my arm tight and said I was trapped and I couldn't go, I just needed to snuggle.  He's just so big, so smart, so funny..  And then my second - I can't believe how well he is doing with the walking thing.  And he just gets so excited for life.  He loves to make us laugh.  I am so lucky to be their mom - I can't believe how much God has blessed us with these boys.

Thanks for making me cry! Hahaha!
