I often feel short of breath and I have read that pregnancy can cause this. I can be sitting down and completely calm and need to take deep breaths to catch my breath. I am a former smoker but I haven't smoked in months obviously and my lungs feel worse now than they did before! My heart also starts racing, on account of nothing. Is anyone else experiencing it? I'm not sure when to worry about it?
Re: Trouble breathing?
It can be normal, but my OB sent me in for an EKG yesterday, and my results just showed my typical irregular heartbeat so that didn't explain why I have a hard time doing anything. He is referring me to a cardiologist to check and see if further testing is needed.
You should contact your OB and see what he/she thinks.
I could be wrong and it could just be a normal pregnancy symptom. If you're up for it, go to your local drugstore and check your BP. High BP can be VERY dangerous during pregnancy so it's worth it to check it or call your OB.
She says it's harmless but be careful not to fall. And to keep an eye on things and if it gets worse or more frequent, schedule another appointment.
It might be something like that but i am not dealing with lung stress though.. so i'd get that checked out. Just to be safe.
