Period or reaction to pain during sex?

I've been bleeding (bright red the first day and now more brown) for two days. It began the day after we did it for the first time PP. I'm EBF- so was hoping no period for a while. Anyone else bleed after sex for a bit or begin having periods while EBF?? Maybe covered before - but didn't see it.

    My period started 2 days ago, 9 weeks pp, ebf. So bummed. I thought I'd get away without one for longer than this.

    @rileysmama2007 same here my period seriously started the week before my 6 week pp visit. I felt ripped off since we are ebf. My first child I didn't get a period for like 7/8 months. I asked my ob and he thought no way it was my period, well each month it comes back still so I'm going with its my period :(

    How much is the bleeding? If it's minimal, it could just be post coital spotting due to a friable cervix and birth trauma.

    Just finished my first period pp at 13 weeks pp and it was brutal. First day soaked through a tampon and pad combined in 2 hours. Also had those gross stringy clots like pp bleeding that transitioned to clear stringy clots at the end. Never turned brown, stayed bright gory red; lasted a week. That was 2 weeks after DTD with DH. Maybe it triggered your period or dislodged something for you?
