Rem cycle or seizure!?

Hey moms! I hopped over from July in search of advice: My 3 week old opens his eyes and rolls them around during sleep and sometimes in the middle of feeding, also does all kinds of faces it is so creepy and I can't tell if it's just his rem cycle or something more serious, does anyone have similar experience?

    It's just him sleeping and fighting it. Mine does stuff like that all the time. Totally normal

    Totally normal. Mine sleeps with her eyes open and it's the creepiest thing.

    Yup, I also see that when I'm trying to get him to sleep and he's not quite out but mostly there. It IS kinda creepy, but I take it as the point where I can *probably* stop bouncing / rocking and oh so carefully put him to bed.

    When it comes to seizures there is nothing that will bring a person out of it except time and meds. After a seizure most people are extremely sleepy for several hours. If it were a seizure they would not continue to feed as any coordination is gone during it. I hope this helps!

    Unlike us babies spend most their sleep cycle in REM, very normal
