Okay, so our LO will be 10 weeks old tomorrow (whaaaaaat??) and I'm thinking about moving her to her crib for nights. She already sleeps in her crib for naps but sleeps in her RNP in our room. There are a couple of things stopping me: her room is on the complete other side of the house (we do have a video monitor) and I'll miss her!!!

(
However, it would be kind of nice to have my room back! Also, she is such a LOUD sleeper and I, apparently, am a really light sleeper.
Looking for words of encouragement and success stories!!
Re: Moving baby to crib...NEED ENCOURAGEMENT!!
And the self soothing he does now! You can say we did the CIO method a bit a guess but he's 3 months so not really. We wouldn't go get him until he was crying or on the verge. My LO will fuss for a few seconds then go back to sleep so I stopped jumping at every little noise. Since he discovered he controls those hands (and can't keep a pacifier in his mouth), he will suck on his fingers and put himself back to sleep. It's awesome!!
Also we trasitioned her out of the swaddle at this same time because she Kept breaking out of them. We use the Merlin magic sleep suit. It looks hilarious on them, but it works! See attached picture! Also, that is a pillow case under her head that I used for a week to let her have my scent for some comfort
@chicago1985 I definitely plan on mimicking the RNP in her crib at first! And that sleep suit is TOO cute on her!!
@flutterby120 I've been lying my LO down drowsy but awake for about 4 weeks now and she has gotten really good at putting herself to sleep, which I'm hoping will make this transition much easier! I would definitely try to start putting him down slightly awake. There will be some crying but you don't have to let it get out of control. You can go to him and try to soothe him by patting/rocking whatever bed he's in. That's what I did. Now I don't have to because she'll fuss for a few mins and then fall asleep. Also, I'm able to put her down more awake than drowsy. Self soothing is such a good skill to teach these babies even though they are so young
