I had a ultrasound at 13 weeks and 3 days and my ultrasound tech after viewing both twins "guessed" we might be having boys. Have any of you had the person guess this early and it be accurate? Just curious
I had a friend that was told that the SEX of their baby was a boy at an early ultrasound only to find out at the anatomy scan 7 weeks later that they were having a baby girl.
A guess of your baby's SEX is just that, a guess. I've heard of them being right just about as often as they are wrong.
And doctors don't do "blood tests for gender." There are several blood tests you can do to find out the likelihood of chromosomal abnormalities, and several of those will accurately tell you the sex of your baby. But they are not done for the sole purpose of finding out the sex.
With dd the tech guessed girl at 13 weeks but she got the perfect angle to tell. I have the ultrasound pic (which was NOT posted to social media lol) and it's hard to deny girl!
I think more or less you should wait a few more weeks, I've had more friends than not been told the wrong sex that early!! Boy twins would be exciting though!

I don't want to thread-jack but I also don't want to start a new one for a similar question...
I'm having an early anatomy scan scheduled for 15 weeks (next tues). At 15 weeks, are things formed enough so they can let me know? Or will it still be a rough guess?

My last pregnancy I had a "dating confirmation scan" if you want to call it that, at 15 weeks which showed my at 14 weeks at 4 days I believe and they were able to tell it was a girl at that time. The tech said she was 99% sure and she was right. I think everything will be formed enough but depending if they can get the baby in just the right position it might be tricky.
