1cm dialated 60% effaced

Hi mommas. FTM...Went in for my 38week today and dr said I'm about 1cm and 60% effaced. I would be totally ok getting my little man out sooner rather than later since I'm getting really impatient/eager, hot and swollen. Baby S is measuring over 7lbs so I'm not worried about size or anything. Dr said take walks/workout and have sex which I'm trying to do as much as my body will allow. Not super interested in trying oils or red raspberry leaf tea. Any tips to help things progress?

    Maybe add nipple stimulation into your routine. Nothing else works.

    I've been 1cm since 38 weeks and 40+2 weeks now... Nothing has worked for me.

    I've been 1 cm since 32 weeks and didn't progress to 2 cm and 50% until 39 weeks. Your body will progress when it's ready.

    I'm 38+3, 4 cm and 50% effaced, baby will come when she is ready. I could go into active labor now or in 2 weeks. If you aren't in active labor then it simply isn't time yet.

    Absolutely nothing will work unless your baby/body is already going anyway. There are a lot of other threads on this if you search.

    I've been 1cm for 3 weeks went from 30 to 50% effaced last week. I'm 40+3 and have tried sex and walking along with pineapple (only because I was craving it not because I thought it would do anything) and I'm still pregnant. Nothing is going to work until baby decides it's time.

    Aren't we all hot/eager/swollen? Babies come when they're ready.

    I don't think any of it works unfortunately. I walked around 4cm and 90% for 2 weeks. Hang in there best you can Momma!

    You could try a membrane sweep but from what I read, they also really don't help if your body isn't already ready :/

    Things will happen when they happen. I was only 1 cm 30% effaced last Wednesday. Went Tuesday to be checked because I was experiencing period like cramps and was only 1.5 cm dialated. Yesterday I slept the whole day which was extremely odd for me. Around 7pm I started experiencing contractions that I've never experienced before. Went to labor and delivery and was 3 cm. walked for an hour and progressed to 5...everything went lightening speed after that and our little angel was born at 4:46.

    i was 1 cm dialated & 60% effaced 3 weeks before my due date with first son. I delivered him 10 days after my due date. I can say with 100% certainty that all of these things are myths and if they work its only because baby was planning on coming out anyway.
